Syrian Moussaka with Pita
Each bite of Moussaka will have three levels of interaction. First you'll taste the grilled eggplant infused with garlic & oregano, providing a soft texture. Next you'll taste the seasoned and savory tomato sauce. Finally you'll enjoy the fresh bell peppers on top, a crisp texture to round everything out. Moussaka is translated into "cold" and if you're lucky enough to have leftovers, letting the dish sit cold overnight will allow the infused seasoning to marinate even longer, making the next day meal even tastier.
