Foodhini's Response to COVID-19
Dear Foodhini Community,
I want to update you on how we are managing the changing environment around COVID-19.
Like everyone else, we are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines to make sure we are doing everything we can. Your health and safety, as well as the health and safety of our incredible team members, is our top priority. Here’s what we are doing:
Yes, We Are Delivering Food: We are continuing to deliver our delicious meals, made by our talented chefs, to you in the DMV. We strongly recommend that -- when you check out online -- you request that our drivers leave your delivery at your front door to limit exposure. We are happy to accommodate your delivery instructions and requests.
Expanded Delivery Area + Same-Day Delivery: Over the past few months, we've seen our online delivery become vital to families in the DMV. In response, we have temporarily expanded our delivery service to select zip codes in the following additional cities - Silver Spring, Mt. Rainier, Chevy Chase, & Bethesda. In addition, we will now offer same-day delivery to support families in need. Order online by 2PM Mon-Fri, to receive Same-Day Dinner Delivery in the evening.
Paid Sick Leave: We are closely monitoring the health and safety of our team members, and we are providing 16 paid sick days to all of our team members who are diagnosed with COVID-19. If our team members should become sick, we want them to rest and recover - and not worry about lost income.
Cleanliness Guidelines: We diligently follow CDC and Department of Health (DOH) food cleanliness guidelines, and are continually reinforcing these protocols with our team members. We take our responsibility of preparing and handling your food extremely seriously, and will continue to be hyper-vigilant at all times.
- Special Dietary Requests: Due to COVID, we are not able to accommodate dietary changes to menu items ordered for same-day delivery. You must order 36 hours in advance in order to request your dietary menu item change. We will try our best to accommodate menu changes, but we cannot guarantee all requests can be fulfilled.
We are here to support you during your teleworking, canceled events, and life disruptions as we all work through this difficult time. We are actively monitoring this situation, and we will maintain full transparency with you as we move forward. We have always strived to provide you with delicious foods from around the world, crafted by our incredible chefs, and we are prepared to continue our operations as planned. As we go forward, we will look for new ways to adapt and better serve you in this changing environment. Thank you for your continued love and support. We would not be here without you.
