Kisir (Bulgur Pilaf)
This is one of the special dishes Chef Mina learned while living in Turkey, and something you cannot find in Iran. It's a vegan dish that's the perfect balance of hearty and light. The bulgur wheat has a similar texture to couscous, but is lighter and fluffier. Fresh romaine hearts, dill and green onions are perfectly mixed in with a sprinkle of chili flakes, as the best way to enjoy this dish is with a hint of spice. The finishing touch is squeezing fresh lemon juice on top, providing a hint of lemon to the savory and spicy dish. You will find Kisir served in large family gatherings as it's light and filling. It's definitely a favorite among the Foodhini team.
